Add pictures and video

Picture

Inspector’s Edge has hand-selected images for you, ready to add to your site.

Pictures are a required field. You cannot save without adding this.

Adding a new image

Click “browse” to add a new image.

Under the “Select from IE Library”  tab you can browse the Inspector’s Edge images.
“Double click” on an image to add it or “click the image”, then click the “submit” button found at the bottom of the page.

Uploading images

If you are uploading for the first time, click “select file from computer”.

If you have uploaded an image before, you will find these under the “Select from My Files” tab.

You can add a caption to your image. This is pre-styled and not customizable.

Add Image alt tags

• Hover your mouse over the picture to show the dashed line.
• In the top right corner, click the “pencil” icon.
• Under the picture, click the “edit” button.
• In the “Alt Text” field, write three to seven words describing the image.
• On the same page, go down to “Media Folder”.
• Click ‘select a value’, and choose “Media Root”.
• Click ‘Save’.

Gallery

Browse through Inspector’s Edge collection of images, or upload your own to create a gallery page.

Pictures are a required field. You must add a picture to add the gallery to your website. Captions are optional.

Adding a new image

To add another image to your gallery click “add another item”.

Video

Add a Homebinder or RecallChek video on your site.

To add a video to your website, copy the URL from the address bar in Vimeo or Youtube.
Click “browse” and paste the URL of the video you are adding.

Slider

Every Inspector’s Edge website comes pre-built with a slider in the top region of your website.
Delete any image you feel does not fit, swap any image with an image of your own, or choose from our pre-loaded image gallery.
