Launching your website means it will be live on the web and accessible to the public. Everything you need to know about launching a website with us can be found below.
Choosing a domain
A domain name is your website name. No two websites can have the same domain name, making each one unique. A domain name is the address where internet users can access your website.
The first step in launching your website is choosing a domain name.
Type your desired domain name into the spot provided on the launch screen. If the name is taken you will receive the following error message:
“Domain name is taken! Please try another name.”
Repeat this step until you have found an available domain. Inspector’s Edge offers domain tips on how to choose an appropriate name.
I own my domain (DNS)
If you already own a domain, on the launch screen, click the button in your bottom left hand corner
“I already have a domain name”. You will be redirected to a screen where you can input your own domain name.
When using your own domain name you must change your domain settings to point to our servers. Inspector’s Edge offers you thorough instructions on how to change your DNS settings.
Domain pricing
With Inspector’s Edge you receive one free domain name with each paid registration. We register it in your name and renew it yearly at no additional cost as long as you maintain a site with us.
We can register additional domain names for a small fee of $20.00 USD/domain yearly.
Hosting
At Inspector’s Edge our inspectors peace of mind is of utmost importance; that is why we use state of the art servers and firewall protection.
The cost of hosting is included in your monthly or annual fee.
SSL
An SSL certificate is a secure encrypted connection between the web server and browser. This link between the server and browser ensures all data passed between the two remains private. Google highly recommends adding an SSL certificate to all websites.
You can purchase an SSL certificate for $50.00 USD/year.

Please note that a domain name is required before your site can be launched. If you do not own a domain name, one can be purchased for $20.00 USD – see “Choosing a domain”. After the first year, Inspector’s Edge will renew your selected domain name annually, at no additional cost as long as you maintain a site with us.
Payment
Inspector’s Edge offers monthly and yearly payment plans for your convenience; no set up fee required. All payment is done automatically until cancellation.
Monthly payments for $36.00 USD, plus applicable taxes.
Annual payments for $348.00 USD plus applicable taxes. (Valued at $29.00 USD per month.)
PayPal
Once you have chosen a payment plan that works best for you, click “continue” to review your personal information, domain name, and payment plan details before continuing to PayPal.
You will be asked to set up a PayPal account, as this is the only form of payment accepted. However, PayPal accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Debit.
To use PayPal here, click on the “continue” button. You will be redirected to PayPal’s secure site to confirm the financial details of your transaction. Once you confirm your payment via PayPal, you will be returned to Inspector’s Edge.
